THE transformation of Blacktown’s skyline is officially underway with the Western Sydney Joint Regional Planning Panel approving construction of the 24-storey Altitude Tower. The JRPP met last week to discuss the development application of the $26 million project.

$70M PROPOSAL FOR ST MARYS
The Sydney West Joint Regional Planning Panel will consider a $70 million proposal by Dyldam for a 289-unit complex in Carson Lane, St Marys. The panel has approved an $11 million complex at 337-339 Great Western Highway, proposed by DesignCubicle and a $13 million, complex, at 11-15 Phillip Street, for the Wentworth Community Housing.
LINDY CAMPELLTOWN'S FIRST FEMALE GM
LINDY Deitz, acting general manager of Campbelltown City Council, has been appointed GM, the first female to hold the position, upon the retirement of Paul Tosi, on salary package of more than $320,000. Sixty-nine candidates applied for the job.
$12M UPGRADE FOR ST JOHNS
ST Johns Park Bowling Club is undergoing a $12 million upgrade with the first stage expected to be finished in early 2016. It will include a steak and pizza brasserie seating 265 people, a pavilion events centre and a refurbished general lounge. By November 2016, the club expects to add an Asian restaurant to venue.
ROSEHILL BOWLING CLUB RELOCATES
ROSEHILL Bowling Club has secured its long-term future by agreeing to merge with the Australian Turf Club. As part of the amalgamation, the club will relocate across the road to the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse. Legal documents outlining the terms show the club will stay its current premises for a minimum of three years. The site will be sold when it relocates.
