PENRITH City Council has obtained $187,500 for public facilities and access in its Our River Precinct which forms part of the Our River Masterplan
$4 billion suburb
CONSTRUCTION on the new $4 billion Box Hill North precinct is scheduled to start in the second half of the year, with the first residents likely to move in by 2017.
By Design leases
BY Design has leased logistics company Visy’s 3500-square-metre warehouse, at 24 Cox place, Glendenning, for five years on an initial gross rental of $332,500.
Hills hotel sold
PARRAMATTA developer, Dyldam, has purchased the Bull & Bush hotel, on Windsor Road, Baulkham Hills, for $50 million, from the Paul Irwin group. Dyldam proposes to retain the hotel, on a 13,300-square-metre site and build apartments on top of the car park.
Tenders closed
TENDERS have closed for the sale of the Wallacia Hotel, the “closest pub to Badgerys Creek Airport”. The 30-room hotel was recently renovated and refurbished at a cost of $3 million.
$139m business hub
A $139 million business hub has been approved for Eastern Creek and is expected to generate about 500 building jobs and provide 1000 permanent and part-time jobs. Western Sydney Parklands Trust director, Suellen Fitzgerald, said it would take between 12 and 18 months before any kind of construction would start
90 spaces opened
A BRAND new car park with more than 90 spaces has opened at Liverpool Station. Construction will soon begin at the station to handover around 25 staff parking spaces to customers.
Bought for $4.1m

DAVID Marino, formerly CEO, of Futuris Automotive Group, has been appointed CEO and MD, of Quickstep Holdings Limited, a manufacturer of high-grade carbon-fibre components for the aerospace and automotive industries, based at Bankstown Airport.
Possible UWS campus
LIVERPOOL Chamber of Commerce and Industry president, Harry Hunt confirmed he had been part of the discussions regarding a UWS campus in the city. “The University of NSW and UWS are already involved with Liverpool Hospital and the Ingham Institute,” he said

TENDERS are being considered for the sale of the Macquarie Hotel, in Macquarie Mall, in Liverpool. The hotel which has a 24-hour liquor licence, is on a 1062-square-metre site, with a six-storey development potential. Council has plans to revitalise the mall to unlock the area’s economic potential
Sold for $25.4 million
IOOF Holdings has 3 Horwood Place, in the Parramatta CBD, for $25.4 million from Melbourne-based MAB Corporation. The 5012-sqyauare-metre office building, which was built in 2001 is 96 per cent leased with tenants including One Steel and ClearView Wealth.
$16m upgrade
ROSEHILL Gardens Racecourse will get a $16 million upgrade as part of a $24 million grant from the state government.
Receivership
FAST food chain, Pie Face, makers of smiley-face pies has introduced plans to avoid receivership, including cutting costs and boosting production at its facility, in Rosehill, and reducing the cost of goods for franchisees.
New body for city
THE high-powered, independent Greater Sydney Commission will be based in Parramatta from July 2015. It will focus on planning decisions affecting Sydney’s 41 councils, which will be divided into six sub-regions enabling councils to better co-ordinate their operations..
Group purchases
THE Hilti Group has purchased a 6619-square-meeting commercial building, at 87 Marsden Street, in the Parramatta CBD, for about $33 million. Tenants include Shire Lawyers and the NSW Government.

CREDITORS of collapsed fast food company, Pie Face, which has a manufacturing facility in Rosehill, have agreed to an arrangement that will lead to a new CEO and new chairman, former federal MP, Andrew Thomson.s
