Build your team with a tree tops experience

MOST office workers spend up to 16 - 18 hours a day indoors – commuting, working and then sleeping.

That’s what makes one of Western Sydney’s newest eco adventure destinations - TreeTop Adventure Park - the perfect panacea for local businesses to beat the indoor blues.

The award winning concept opened at Abbotsbury in October 2012 and has enhanced the region’s tourism standing by offering Sydney’s only hands-on, high-ropes Australian bush experience.

It also prides itself on providing a unique and affordable alternative for businesses looking to build teams (and reward them) in a fun and somewhat challenging way.

TreeTop Adventure Park Co-owner, Sandrine Gaymard, said about 25 per cent of visitors to TreeTops (she has another two parks in Ourimbah and Newcastle) are businesses looking to get their people “outdoors and together”.

“At TreeTops we’re huge advocates for getting people as old as eighty and as young as three outdoors and doing activities together to build their confidence and learn new skills,” Ms Gaymard said.

“In fact 40 per cent of our visitors are adults who explore the treetop canopy, slide down flying foxes and move from tree to tree on suspension bridges with the beauty of the Australian forest surrounding them, in a completely sustainable setting.”

Corporate groups can also benefit from discovering personal limits and attempting to overcome them as well as understanding and respecting the limits of others, and improving team cohesion.

TreeTop Adventure Park features a series of eight age-appropriate and eco-friendly high-ropes courses set in 11 hectares of rare Australian bush, including one of the few remaining tracts of Cumberland Woodland Plain in NSW.

Scattered among the courses are 19 flying foxes - including one of Australia’s longest at 240 metres, a series of climbing nets, Tarzan lianas, monkey bridges, suspended rafts, trapeze, and twisted ladders.

There are varying levels of courses that people can progress through beginning from green, to blue, red and then black for the really adventurous adults.

The park has won a host of awards including a Australian Business Award for Enterprise (2010, 2011 and 2012) and was a 2011 Telstra Business Awards winner.
