The concert will be held on November 16, 8pm at the Bowman Hall, Campbell Street, Blacktown.
The Arts Centre and Blacktown City Council extend an invitation to local residents, community organisations, artists and music lovers alike to this unique and exotic performance.
The evening will see the historic walls of the Bowman Hall transformed into a beautiful array of colour and culture. The space will be immersed in flowers, spices, delicious food and refreshments under the Indian stars. It may even feel like you’ve been transported to the centre of New Delhi!
Led by internationally renowned saxophonist Sandy Evans, Mantratonic features the mesmerising voice and enchanting sitar playing of Sarangan Sriranganathan, acclaimed tabla player Bobby Singh and jazz double bass master Brett Hirst.
“I am sure that those who attend will see a performance which is deeply immersed in Indian culture and musical influences. Residents should take advantage of this free performance and enjoy an evening out with family and friends,” Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Len Robinson said.
Blacktown Arts Centre extends its thanks the local community and acknowledges the great work of the artists and organisations who have contributed to the vibrant and diverse 2013 Performance Program.
