SPECIAL INSPIRATIONAL EVENT AT HILLS

Inspiration from 100 leaders on APP

IMAGINE being able to hear inspiring words from true leaders in their field at a push of a phone app - all in the comfort of a cinema seat.

That will be the experience of those who have bought tickets to a Hills Shire Council event called 100 Leaders that is run by Sydney-based global networking organisation XVenture, in Event Cinemas.

Through a voting app that participants download on their phones, a wide range of leaders will impart their words of wisdom aimed at inspiring the business community.

Leaders captured by XVenture include Steve Waugh, Laura Geitz, Ronni Kahn, and Zuckerberg advisor Chris Adams.

Local leaders such as David O’Neill (CEO Castle Hill RSL), Mark McCrindle (McCrindle Research), Andrew Nunn (MD, Parex Davco), Terry McFlynn (GM, Sydney FC) and Leanne Campbell (F1 World Ski Champion) will be in the mix.

Hills Council’s economic development co-ordinator Steve Garrard jumped at the chance to present the event after being approached by XVenture CEO Mike Conway.

“I saw a great opportunity for the business community that had not been done before,” Mr Garrard said.

“This gives our local business people the opportunity to hear from business leaders all over the world, people they would not normally engage with.”

Mr Garrard said the event will start with a breakfast so people can network before going into the cinema

The filming of  he 100 leaders took 18 months, from Los Angeles to to London and Hong Kong to Sydney.

Leaders cover doctors, dancers, designers, educators, entrepreneurs, artists and musicians to business executives, financiers, manufacturers, technologists, charity leaders and sports people, from large corporations through to small companies and individuals.

The XVenture team has produced these interviews into short video clips, supported by animation, music and imagery to deliver some of the most inspiring contemporary thoughts and views about leadership ever seen, founder Mike Conway said.

“Just imagine turning up to an Event Cinemas first thing in the morning, having a bite to eat with other local business people and then experiencing a 100-minute 100 Leaders program, where you get to choose three leaders and three themes which resonate with you. The live group vote will determine what is experienced with audience thoughts and reflections captured too,” Mr Conway said.

Participants will access inspirational lessons in leadership from contemporary leaders from a diverse range of industries including finance, marketing, sport, manufacturing, mining,  construction, education and more.
