The innovation program, called Marketplace, is the first of its kind provided by a professional services firm in Australia and addresses the need for diverse professional skills by different companies.
The new online platform provides organisations of all sizes with rapid and direct access to highly skilled KPMG professionals.
The main areas of capability offered through Marketplace are financial modelling; analytics business and process analysis; project or finance administration and reporting; management and board reporting; and bookkeeping.
David Pring, Managing Partner, KPMG Western Sydney, said the new online service developed out of an internal innovation program and is relevant to both KPMG clients and companies that are not current clients.
“This is a different service that will appeal to a wide spectrum of clients. Companies can apply online for the skills they require, we will match them with the skills we have and provide it to the client.
“It’s flexible in that we can deliver the skills either online and work remotely, or if the client prefers we can deliver this service in person to work onsite ay the client’s premises,” explained David.
KPMG’s local and national tax, accounting and advisory specialists are available for short-term contracts for anywhere between one to 10 business days. Marketplace provides professionals at competitive rates, allowing companies to be flexible in how they budget and manage their short term needs.
Clients booking an assignment will need to simply register online, create a profile and post jobs to the platform. KPMG will suggest three suitably qualified candidates for the assignment within 48 hours. The client then selects the candidate they prefer and payment is made upon completion of the assignment.
David said the new service was favourably received by clients who see this as a flexible opportunity to access highly skilled professionals online. “It’s an alternative way of finding people online,” he said.
