The estate, part-owned by Goodman Group, is set to include more than 5500 apartments and a new commercial zone.
NSW Planning and Transport Department will dedicate more than $150 million to building better transport links around Goodman’s Carter Street industrial precinct in Lidcombe, in addition to schools and a new foreshore reserve to improve its viability as a residential community.
The estate is located less than 17 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD and close to train lines, ferries and a possible light rail to Parramatta.
