MCGRATH MAGIC IN NORTH-WEST

Six-star service drives purpose

GRANT Simpson is at the forefront of the burgeoning growth of the north-west residential market, with the trusted McGrath brand behind him.

Having opened the McGrath office in Rouse Hill shopping centre in 2014, Grant has grown his staff to 15 and recently opened an office in the Ponds, showing the prestige realty brand works well in the north-west.

“It is our six star service that people appreciate,” Grant said. “We pride ourselves on being transparent and being with the customer - vendor and buyer - throughout the whole transaction.

“I believe that if you have a happy buyer and a happy seller then you have done your job correctly.”

Grant also likes to build a relationship with buyers, so they will trust McGrath when they want to sell and move on. “People like to deal with agents they know and like,” he said.

But there is even more to Grant’s strategy than knowing how to market the brand and residential real estate.

Keeping up with the trends and news about infrastructure and new developments also is important when it comes to marketing and communicating to potential buyers.

“I go to council rezoning meetings, business chamber meetings and keep in touch with developers,” he said.

“And I am a big advocate of training, attending as many seminars on real estate as I can.”

Grant enjoys being in the buzz of a rapidly-development area that is growing in a new way to suburbs of the past.

“Apartment living is becoming more desirable in the northwest due to the convenience and price point as the cost of housing is too high,” Grant said.

Grant also is seeing more mums and dads releasing the equity in their homes to help their children secure a footing in the fast-rising real estate market.

“While you can enter the market here for $650,000, the average price of homes in the north-west is heading towards $1 million while the median price in Sydney is $900,000,” Grant said.

“With the building of the north west metro, shopping centres and other facilities, the area is at the beginning of a 10 year upswing.”

And the benefit of this upswing is for all age groups, with homes suited to families and downsizers.

It is an area hungry for the McGrath touch as the company run by John McGrath prides itself on its six star service of sophisticated advertising, top presentation and customised service.
