Holroyd City Mayor, Clr Greg Cummings, said the Asbestos Answers website will provide householders with the answers to their asbestos questions before starting any sort of renovation work, ensuring their safety and the safety of family and neighbours.
"The website is a free, easy and quick tool for the community to use and is designed to help locals make more informed decisions about how they might remove and dispose of asbestos," Mayor Cummings said today.
"Our community needs to know the facts about the hazardous material because the possibility of exposure is a real threat when you're sitting in the middle of Sydnesy's asbestos belt.
"If you're not sure about asbestos in and around your home, talk to Council or a licensed removalist and treat it like it is asbestos, just to be on the safe side."
