THE results are in for the 2015 Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence (WSABE) and winners were announced on Friday, August 14 at the Gala Dinner Awards at WatervieW in Bicentennial Park.
PARRAMATTA SEEKS CYCLE HIRE OPERATOR
PARRAMATTA City Council and Parramatta Park Trust are looking for an operator interested in establishing a bicycle hire business in Parramatta. The cycle hire project is intended to increase opportunities for cycling, encourage visitors to explore places of interest around the LGA and maximise the safety and comfort of cycle users. The EOI process for a cycle hire operator closes on August 18.
GOODMAN GROUP TO DEVELOP WAREHOUSES
THE Goodman Group will develop two warehouse facilities to nearly 60,000 square metres at the Oakdale Industrial Estate, Horsley Park, for DHL international logistics group, for about $80 million.
TENDERS CLOSE FOR MACQUARIE MALL
TENDERS for the major upgrade to Macquarie Mall, in the Liverpool CBD, have closed attracting six applications from Sydney civil and landscape contractors. The project is on track and works are set to start in October. It is expected to be completed by June 2016.
FREE PUBLIC WI-FI AT BLACKTOWN
ABOUT 15 free public Wi-Fi access points will be installed in the Blacktown CBD later this year. Final planning for the location of Wi-Fi access points is still to take place.
DETAILED PLANNING FOR BADGERYS CREEK
THE federal government is undertaking complex and detailed planning towards an operational airport, at Badgerys Creek, by the mid-2020s that will generate long-term economic benefits, thousands of jobs and meet the needs of Western Sydney's growing population.
