Parramatta Australia Day celebrations for family fun

AUSTRALIA Day in Parramatta features an action-packed day at Parramatta Park with 15 hours of non-stop entertainment and fun for the whole family.

Parramatta Lord Mayor, Cr Scott Lloyd said Parramatta offers one of the largest Australia Day celebrations and is the perfect place to commemorate our nation’s day.

“Parramatta’s Australia Day party will kick-off at sunrise when our spectacular hot air balloons ascend to the sky as part of the Aerial Carnivale between 6am-11am,” Cr Lloyd said.

“Celebrations will continue from 11am-6pm at the Big Backyard where there will be an array of amusement rides, food stalls and activities to keep the kids busy, plus a live entertainment program featuring MCs Ozstar Airlines, Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo and special guest Dorothy the Dinosaur.

“Then from 6pm to 9pm The Wiggles!, Sarah De Bono and Tim Omaji aka Timomatic will entertain the crowd as the sun sets at our free Dig 1100 Concert followed by National Roads and Motorists’ Association (NRMA) Fireworks Spectacular.
