Each year Parramatta Chamber of Commerce and Industry holds the marquee event known as the State of the City Address.
This year that chamber has again partnered with Parramatta City Council. NSW Business Chamber and KPMG are also sponsors of the event.
More than 200 people from the business community attend the State of The City, which boasts high profile speakers from business and government.
Last year’s successful event was held at Novotel Parramatta with Premier Mike Baird as Keynote Speaker.
The theme for 2016 is “Doing Business in a Smart City”.
Parramatta Chamber of Commerce has announced that this year’s Keynote Speaker is Bernard Salt.
Bernard Salt is a published and widely respected demographer and futurist who brings a real world understanding of future trends and demographics.
Bernard is a KPMG Partner and is a renowned forecaster for business and government, an experienced writer, author, business advisor and media personality.
“We are excited and privileged to have Bernard Salt as our Key Note speaker. Parramatta Chamber of Commerce is 100% behind the Parramatta Council Smart City program, Bernard‘s address will articulate demographic trends and how they will shape Parramatta and the Greater Western Sydney regions. This is a rare insight for the business community to look at what the future Parramatta Smart City will bring,” said Michael Mekhitarian, President of the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce.
The State of the City Event will be held on Friday, May 6 2016 at 12 Noon at Oatlands House.
