Casual mixing, fine Italian food and interesting speakers hopefully will be a winning combination at the new Pandora’s Business Network (PBN).
Pandora’s owner Tracey Henwood said she saw a need for business operators and executives who did not want the more high-powered business gatherings where they were expected to talk about their business in front of everyone.
“Not everyone wants all the rah rah, they just want to mingle without necessarily talking about their business, but if they want to, they can amongst themselves,” Tracey told WSBA, one of the sponsors of PBN.
“They will be able to sample our food, buy drinks and stay as long as they wish. We will have meetings on the first Monday of every month, starting from 6pm so people can come straight from work.
PBN was launched on May 2 with more than 70 people showing up to hear guest speaker, Gary Raymond recount some of his experienes as a senior detective and rescue worker.
An important part of PBN is support for Tracey’s two favourite charities - Give and Take, which supports families fleeing domestic violence and KidsWest, the charity supporting The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
“I believe in giving back to the community, which is important for a business owner,” Tracey said.
Tracey has run the 350-seat Italian and modern Australian cuisine restaurant in Resolution Pl with her son Blake for the past three years. It has become a favourite with local families as well as couples and business people.
Pandora’s is open Tuesdays to Sundays for lunch and dinner, as well as Sunday breakfasts.
