The event management team comprising Castle Towers Shopping Centre, key State and Federal Parliamentarians and the major churches in The Hills Shire says the Carols and Fireworks will attract between 3,000 to 5,000 people.
Alive 90.5FM will broadcast the entire Carols section of the night, live and uninterrupted. There will also be games for children and a Christmas Craft Market. Tickets will be available from November 12 at www.christmasinthehills.com.au
Castle Towers will help run the event with the assistance of St Pauls, St Bernadettes and Wesley Uniting churches. Christmas items will be provided by the churches. Entertainment includes Sister2Sister School of Singing and Rock ‘N Soul Choir, as well as the Salvation Army Band from Parramatta.
Laura Dundovic (pictured), former Miss Universe Australia, Myer ambassador and host of the Fox8 TV reality series Dating in the Dark will be one of the special guests.
“We want it to have a strong connection to the Christian Churches and help enrich the Hills community this, and then every Christmas,” said organiser, Gareth McCray.
“Event Cinema will be running special competitions at the Festival and the many stalls will include the Castle Hill Police, Reach for the Rainbow, Shakespeare in the Park, food, games for the children. Come along and share in a real Christian Christmas with the Family. Tours of the Historic Bella Vista Farm will also be on offer."
Funds raised on the night will go to Woodbury School – the autistic school on the Balcombe Heights Estate at Baulkham Hills.
