MERCURE PENRITH UNVEILS NEW LOOK

Transformation to an urban oasis
ILIANA STILLITANO
MERCURE Penrith, the modern hotel which takes pride of place at the foothills of the Blue Mountains and at the gateway of a burgeoning Western Sydney, now boasts 222 newly refurbished guest rooms, making it an ideal urban oasis.
The $5M upgrade is certain to make guests feel at home the moment they check in to one of the new chic look rooms which have been designed to deliver the best in functionality and flexibility.

At the heart of Mercure Penrith’s new look are thoughtful comforts such as extra-long deluxe beds that have replaced the former standard size beds, Wi-Fi internet and flat-screen televisions with Foxtel.

Ambient lighting has been installed to tastefully light different areas of the rooms: in the bedroom, the warm lighting will help you wind down and relax at the end of your day and in the bathrooms, the appealing décor is complimented by stunning backlit mirrors.

The fitness centre is the ideal convenient place to enjoy a workout during your stay and guests can then reward themselves with a dip in the outdoor pool. Additional amenities include a guest lounge and BBQ areas for unwinding with colleagues.

Mercure Penrith has long been a popular choice for business travellers who have also been catered for as part of the renovations. Guests can take advantage of the new, spacious desks and envelope laptop tables and make use of the plentiful USB ports that are now available in every room.

General Manager, Kellie Stapleton, said the new Mercure Penrith was “stylish, relaxing and affordable”.

She said the hotel’s new look rooms were designed based on guest feedback and already the revamp has been well received.

“We are pleased to welcome guests to stay in the newly refurbished Mercure Penrith,” she said. “The refreshed design of each room has been executed with an emphasis on feedback from our guests about what make makes a hotel feel like a home away from home.

“As such, the refurbishment includes state of the art televisions, new art work featuring a natural colour palate and easy chairs for relaxing.”

And as a member of AccorHotels, Mercure Penrith is part of an international network with a strong commitment to quality and a warm experience that the hotel operator is renowned for.
