Tallest building to change streetscape

LIVERPOOL will be home to the tallest building in south-west Sydney – a 30-storey residential project in the northern section of the CBD.

‘The development is worth $75 million and once complete, it will change the streetscape of Liverpool,” said Frank Mosca, of Mosca Pserras Architects, a team of multi award winning architects based in Liverpool.

“This development is going to set the scene and force people to take notice of what is happening in our city,” he said. “It will be the launching pad for serious new development in the region.”

Mr Mosca said the tower would be almost twice the height of any building already in the city centre.

The company’s website notes that Frank Mosca and Steve Pserras, who have been in practice since 1987, specialise in residential and commercial projects and they have a passionate interest in the design of the urban environment in south west Sydney.

The development, comprising two towers in Norfolk Street, is expected to have some 300 units, accommodating about 700 people.

Liverpool mayor, Ned Mannoun, said the development of a residential precinct in the CBD’s north end was a great opportunity to feed surrounding business and boost the local economy.

Elsewhere in the city, another project is the construction of two new residential developments at the south end of Castlereagh Street.
