PROFILE: IMPROVING EFFICIENCIES

MyFlo system streamlines business

WHETHER large or small, businesses benefit from a smooth flow of work, invoicing and payment for services.

Traditionally, co-ordinating all the workings of a business is labour-intensive and not always efficient.

And that is where MyFlow Work Order Management comes into play, rescuing service industries from the labour and time consuming business of assigning work, tracking jobs, invoicing and collecting payment.

The Baulkham Hills-based business run by engineer Michael Stornelli is helping a raft of businesses, from small through to large clients such as Hills Shire Council, the Department of Education and Actron Air streamline their work flow.

Mr Stornelli had been working on custom-made work flow solutions when he engineered his ground-breaking MyFlow system that suits a range of businesses, about five years ago.

“With this system, you can assign jobs to workers in the field, via smart devices, log the work, convey any problems that the client tells us about while the worker is still out there,”

Mr Stornelli said. “The system also sends out invoices and tracks payment.”

Mr Stornelli said the system, after initial set-up, can save a business 50 to 90 per cent in administration and operating expenses.

The main benefits are that response times improve and complaints can be dealt with faster.

“Before MyFlow, I was building customised solutions for businesses but people started to want a more off-the-shelf product,” Mr Stornelli said.

Mr Stornelli has about 50 clients across Australia and employs about six.

“It is a close knit team,” he said, adding that he liked to run a tight ship. No doubt, many of his clients do as well.
